What is Medical Meditation?
Medical Meditation is mindful directed meditation utilizing specific hand held postures, body exercises (kriyas), and often with an ancient chant igniting acupressure points within the mouth of the person chanting. These "recipes "of specific postures as taught by Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D generally address a given health condition whether it is to consciously maintain physical and mental well-being or to actually improve and alter a given state of health.
Medical Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D. facilitates change in the physical body through the mind and body connection. By engaging specific mantras and mudras you simultaneously ignite the body's energy channels or meridians. Their corresponding organs and energy centers (chakras) literally "light up"fueling and basically taking in energy from the universe as needed per the innate wisdom of the body then discarding any excesses not needed. The increase or decrease in naturally occurring healing energy and the corresponding vibration of cells in specific areas in the physical body end with the result of an improvement in the condition of the physical body while simultaneously enhancing the body on several levels including its mind and brain, perhaps even soul. The Aura of Being shines.

A personal journey with meditation and yoga began in my early teens with Hatha Yoga and was practiced during college under the tutelage of a Wheaton College (Norton, MA) Lead Dance Instructor. This personal journey with Hatha Yoga and different Energy Arts continued until the introduction to Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and Gong and Sound studies in 2002 under the guidance of teacher Sat Kartar Kaur Khalsa of The Baba Siri Chand Yoga and Retreat Ashram of Millis Massachusetts. The spiritual name Pavan Kaur was bestowed via the teachings and blessing of Yogi Bhajan through the Kundalini Research Institute in 2005 upon completion of Level One Teacher Training at the Ashram in Millis. "Pavan" refers to "Prana" ..."Life Energy" ... and the "Breath of Life." I am grateful to sharing the blessings of these teachings with you all.
Namaste.
